    Nigeria's president has suspended his nation's football team from international competition for two years after a poor showing at the World Cup.

    seems like a step in the wrong direction, doesn't it?

    if they don't play anyone, even in friendlies, i don't see how they'll be able to develop into a better team.

    apparently this might lead to FIFA penalties that affect club sides as well.
