I forgot to add,
I disagree with anyone saying that Uberdruck are quite cheesey, they are by no means cheesey......there hearts are totally into keeping their sound Underground.

its not cheesy like Alice Deejay is cheesy - but i do find the things they do in tracks quite, errr, cheesy:)
hard to explain but i know when i hear it i think 'oh dear whys he put that in there?' so to me, cheesy.
hey stride.. perhaps it's because they have an obvious sequence formula?? ie you just know where their tracks are going every time: easy mix in... intro.... kick out... snare... stop .. timestreched vocal/crazy stuff... mad stuff.. everything in... just beat.... break... timestreched vocal/crazy stuff... everthing in... mix out....
whether we like it or not, they have a formula. everyone has to have a formula in their music to give them their identity. yet their formula is soooooo good. it works, full stop... just like scot project's formula worked... and the more they use it, the more ppl can learn to understand it...
but then a time comes when those who are really looking for the next thing in music say 'i need to hear something different from them'. and that's what you're doing... and alot of people on this forum...
so are these guys trying to do something different with their sound?
i believe they are. much more than scot project ever did. listen to some of the B-sides. the more percussive techno thing on those turntable junky remixs. in fact, the main remix was excellent. now there's that new one - 'wall' something - sounds like a mental german name (can't remember it!!!!! sorrieeeeeeee!!!!) - the other side with two tracks on is such a change.
i think the key for uberdruck (and i really hope they read this cause I know they visit the forum) is to keep doing what they do best but always do these quirky b sides. these two are so talented that even though they are the sound of now, they could be providing a serious alternative for the future, in the form of their bsides...
I have to agree actually, I do quite like the B-side of "Wallstadt & Dorfler - Syncronized" but ya know, its just not my style anymore.
this is just an idea, but if you like uberdruck records buy them, and listen to them and support them, if you dont like them, leave them in the shops for somone who does. wheres the argument ? they r talented guys in their field for that there is no doubt, but if you dont like them they arent making you listen to em. you could have this debate regarding any producer the world over, the simple fact is different people like different things, and just because something gets played a lot it dont make it cheesy or comercial, if anything it means a lot of people like it. if we all produced the same music to the same formula music would be boring. :)
I can see what stride means but like mark says, its just the formula maybe getting a little predictable for some ppl. I know what your saying about using a formula and creating an identity, dont get me wrong, im not saying theres anything wrong with it but i think some ppl get a bit tired of hearing the same formula in tracks. This is why trance is such a good genre because you can have different producers pushing the boundries and creating somthing a little different from the next producer.
This is why uberdruck have become so popular because they have created somthing different, all im saying is that some of us like to keep changing instead of having the same rythem and feel to a mix. If you know what i mean?
Is the tune ur on about mark "syncronized"???Quote:

But gotta remember when u ave an appeal as widespread as uberdruck and churn out as many tracks, some are gonna be similer and many will be critised more openly now, cause everyone knows them.
Can see both side of the argument, as the releases under UBERDRUCK are gettin a bit similer, but also as mark said, there are some gems on the b-side.
And with the uberdruck guise, cause its that big a name now, he cant go all experimental with his main alias, he will ave to try out different sounds on the b-side until he is happy maybe with a different approach to go ahead with.
