We didn't deserve anything either. First half,we were laughably shit. Croatia played well,strong and steady.

big surprise for me. didnt see the game, but all people I was speaking with told me, England played rubbish. fair play, then.

when england team arrived here, they were held as stars, now when our boys came to london nobody was expecting them on the airport, our FA chief was taken to custody as a shoplifter, someone from the press wrote none of our boys could play in english team (LOL) and all in all the UK media was pretty arrogant from what i've heard.

We were lucky to even get back into the game soft penalty. Crouch is the only player who played well and maybe Beckham when he came on. The problem with Gerrard and Lampard they can only play Premiership football, high tempo kamakaze style. They both could need to go to Italy or Spain and learn how to play a slower more technical style game as that is closer to what International football is about. All Gerrard wanted to do the other night was lump the ball long, you just can do that at International level.
on recent performances alone, the man to drop would have been gerrard. but McClaren didn't have the balls to do it. ultimately the biggest error was building a team around a very average striker. crouch had a decent game, was prolly one of england's best players on the day. but we should have started with 4-4-2. dropped either gerrard or lampard and had bent and defoe up front.
the uk press is still in meltdown trying to think of which Man Utd player we can all blame for england's failure.
oh well, at least we'll have more players resting through the summer than anyone else in the top 4.
