Mackies tend to enhance the bass, something to do with phase. Its a non issue when compared to using those alesis. Im using some borrowed 642's at the mo, waiting for some Adams to arrive, been waiting ages. ****ers

i'm currently in the process of constructing studio and it's amazing how much acoustic panels and basstraps influence room's sound, it's so much fun moving those HR824s and panels around room experimenting, and the bass is most dependent on it.

what do you mean by phase? it's a question of acoustics.. HR824s go from 39hz to 20khz supposedly "flat", and one can make good use of this frequency range.
