I was surprised the festival carried on, it really wasnt looking good for awhile. But I was glad it did as I came prepared for rain, so the mud and wetness was an annoyance rather than a showstopper. I was amazed by the number of people I met who were totally unprepared because "the weather at glade is always good, I have faith" - thats just plain foolhardy.
As for the music, Jerome Hill sucked (playing hip hop!?!?) and I thought Magda and Hawtin were both utter utter tripe, I couldent beleive they would dare to play such boring sets in what was supposedly a techno tent. But Saturday made up for it, there was simply awesome dubstep in the overkill and I really enjoyed Digitalism as well, and I spent the entire night in Vapor tent which was rocking. I thought Black Dog were ok, but I would have put them on first as Jim Masters was really rocking it out before them, and then Derrick May completely took the roof of the place, he was awesome! Only real complaint was the volume at points being far to low, particularly in the Overkill and during Jim Masters set.
Getting out was a pain, but I think ALOT of people were way to hasty to fork out a bunch of money to those farmers. I was in a 1.4 escort, front wheel drive with all the weight in the back, so worst case scenario really, and I had to traverse the entire car park, but I managed to do that with no real problems, only time I got even a little bit stuck was right by the exit, and then two stewards gave me a push. I think the real problem there was too many drivers who obviously dont know how to drive - I was watching so many people who were going around in 1st gear, hitting some mud and then spinning the tires until they were 2 foot deep and sitting in a cloud of burnt clutch.
