I've managed to accidentally pull the ground wire out of my turntable while in the process of moving it.
It looks like you have to open it up to get it back in. This ever happened to anyone else? Where can I get it fixed?

tht happened to my house mates recently. so i opened her up and re soldered the ground cable. I also fitted new audo leads. its a really simple job to do mate.

I've seen a mod that eliminates the need for the GND.

Not watched it yet but if that's the one where you do the grounding via the rca-cable shielding ---> it did not work nicely for me.

That dude in the vid uses a HUGE soldering Iron. I recommend one with a nice point on it no bigger than the solder patch that hold the RCA's in place. That way you won't singe the PCB.

I need a new earth lead fitting to 1 of my 1210s..........needs fitting from the inside as its snapped from the core..........sounds easy enough from what danny said.....bit of souldering?
dont really like fiddling with the insides of electrical shit........remember opening up my djm600 on 1 occasion to fix something, man....inside of that thing is like a fckin PC, lol.
